The Body likewise approved on Second Reading, an “Ordinance granting legislative authority to the City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by and between the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) XI and the City of Davao, relative to the improvement of the services of the Davao City Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), as sponsored by Councilor Alberto T. Ungab.
During the same session, seven (7) applications for accreditation of cooperatives and one (1) Civil Society Organization (CSO) were approved through Resolution Nos. 0048-25 to 0055-25, all Series of 2025, namely: LAMDAG Multipurpose Cooperative Mindanao, Green Gold Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, San Pedro Extension Homeowners Multipurpose Cooperative (SPEHMPCO), DCCPEC Multipurpose Cooperative, Teachers and Employees Multi-purpose Cooperative of SANHS (TEMCO-SANHS), Buhangin Central Teachers Consumers Cooperative (BUCENTECCO), Love the Children Foundation, Inc., and Milagrosa Farmers Agrarian Reform Cooperative.
Further, Ordinance 008-25, Series of 2025, entitled “An Ordinance for the Temporary Partial Road Closure to Vehicular Traffic of the following Streets, on the Date and Time requested in connection with the upcoming celebration of Kadayawan Festival 2025:
*August 12 (Tuesday) from 1:00 am until 1:00 am of August 18, 2025 Partial Road Closure at San Pedro Square, Bolton and City Hall Drive
*August 15, 2025 (Friday) from 9:00 pm until 2:00 pm of August 17, 2025, Partial Road Closure at Marco Polo Grounds-CM Recto corner Roxas Avenue, and Bonifacio corner Pelayo Street for the installation of stage and production tents
*August 17 (Sunday) from 1:00 am until 12:00 midnight of August 18, 2025 Full Road Closure for Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan along San Pedro Square and Marco Polo Grounds (Roxas Avenue) to CM Recto Street – Bonifacio Street, Pelayo Street; and Ordinance 0010-25, Series of 2025, entitled “An Ordinance granting the request for exemption from the payment of Special Mayor’s Permit of the Floriculture Industry of Davao, Inc., for the Kadayawan Floriculture Agritrade Fair from August 7-17, 2025, to be held at the Davao City Coastal Road”.
Lastly, Resolution No. 0047-25, Series of 2025, was approved, “Congratulating the Doña Carmen Denia National High School, Denians Voice Ensemble Members, their Conductor, Mr. Harold C. Pedida, Coach Florgie Salon Polinar, and Educational Program Supervisor – MAPEH Elsie E. Gagabe, for winning and bagging the Prize for being the Champion in the recent 9th Singapore International Choral Festival (Category B1, 19 years old and below, Mixed Voice Category) on July 23-27, 2025.
