HIGHLIGHTS OF THE APRIL 15, 2025 REGULAR SESSION

During the 14th Regular Session held on April 15, 2025, the 20th City Council passed and approved on Third and Final Reading, Ordinance No. 0793-25, Series of 2025, entitled “An Ordinance Retitling the Position of Administrative Officer IV with Item No. 11 under the City Accountant’s Office to Accountant II and amending Section 1 (Organizational Structure and Staffing Pattern of the City Government of Davao) of Ordinance No. 2374, Series of 1994” and Ordinance No. 0794-25, Series of 2025, entitled “An Ordinance granting Legislative Authority to the City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memorandum of Agreement to be entered into by and among the City of  Davao, KLAD Sanitation Services, Inc. (Transporter), and AGM Medical Waste Specialists Inc. (Treater), relative to the Proper Disposal of Toxic and Infected Wastes”.

 

The Body likewise approved on Second Reading the following legislation, to wit:

 

Further, Resolution No. 04248-25 and Ordinance No. 0795-25, both Series of 2025, were adopted, entitled “Enacting an Ordinance for the Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic of the portion of Magsaysay Street, Calinan Proper, Davao City, for the conduct of Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod Mega Rally to be participated by nineteen (19) barangays comprising Calinan District on April 16, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Lastly, Resolution No. 04249-25 and its corresponding Ordinance No. 0796-25, both Series of 2025, were adopted and approved, entitled “Enacting an Ordinance authorizing the City Mayor to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by and between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the City of Davao, for the implementation of the 15th Cycle Supplementary Feeding Program for the School Year 2025-2026, sponsored by Councilor Jesus Joseph P. Zozobrado III.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MARCH 25, 2025 REGULAR SESSION

On March 25, 2025, the 20th City Council approved on Third and Final reading, Ordinance No. 0785-25, Series of 2025, entitled “An Ordinance restructuring the Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and amending Section 1 (Organizational Structure and Staffing Pattern of the City Government Of Davao) of Ordinance No. 2374, Series of 1994”; and Ordinance No. 0786-25, Series of 2025, entitled “An Ordinance establishing the Davao City Citizen’s ID System, thereby prescribing the Unified Davao City Identification Cards to be issued to all Residents and Non-Residents/Transients of Davao City and providing guidelines for the issuance thereof, otherwise known as the “DCITIZEN ID”, respectively.

Further, the following measures were approved under Suspended Rules, viz:
